FIXED INSTALLATION

Make sure you have a minimum space of 4cm (40mm) on the reveal. Knock on the walls to ensure that there are no hollow points.

STEP 1:
1. Take the Top Track and place it into the reveal where you want to fit the fixture.
2. Cut to the correct length using a Hacksaw or a Cutting Disk if necessary.
3. Drill 3 – 5 evenly spaced holes using a 6mm drill bit and drill into the Top Track.

STEP 2:
1. Take the Bottom Track and place it into the reveal where you want to fit the fixture.
2. Cut to the correct length using a Hacksaw or a Cutting Disk if necessary.
3. Drill 3 – 5 evenly spaced holes using a 6mm drill bit and drill into the Top Track.

STEP 3:
1. Mark the pre-drilled holes of the Top Track onto the reveal where the Top Track will be fitted.
2. Use an 6mm concrete drill bit and drill your marked holes.
3. Place the wall plugs into the drilled holes.

STEP 4:

1. Mark the pre-drilled holes of the Bottom Track onto the reveal where the Bottom Track will be fitted.
2. Use an 6mm concrete drill bit and drill your marked holes.
3. Place the wall plugs into the drilled holes.

STEP 5:
1. You can now install the Bottom Track first using the 6mm (nail-in) screws.
2. Once your bottom track is installed you are now able to put your fixture inside of the track.

STEP 6:

1. Now that your Bottom Track is installed and your fixture is inside your bottom track you are now able to slide your Top Track over the fixture.
2. Install the Top Track using the 6mm (nail-in) screws.

STEP 7:
1. Now that you have installed your Top and Bottom Track you are left with your *Left Back Channel and *Right Back Channel.
2. Open your fixture fully. You can mark your Pre-Drilled holes on your Left Back Channel and you can also mark your Pre-Drilled holes on your Right Bach Channel at once.
3. Use an 8mm concrete drill bit and drill your marked holes.
4. Place the wall plugs into the drilled holes.

STEP 8:
1. Once complete, fasten the Left and Right Back Channel using the 8mm bolts.

STEP 9:

Now that your fixture is installed you are left with your aluminium cover strips.

1. You can cut the strip into pieces using a Hacksaw or a Cutting Disk. Measure in-between the uprights to cut size accordingly.

TIPS & TRICKS

Lock Bar

Fixing the Lock Bar is the most important part of the job. The Lock Bar must be 100% straight. If the wall is slightly skew, please use spacers at the back of the lock channel to ensure it fits 100% straight. Please note that the Lock Bar, fits inside the Top Track.

Drilling into Tiles

When drilling into tiles, try and drill into the grout so if you need to remove the gate at a later stage you are able to fill the grout again.

FACE FIX INSTALLATION

The recess installation guide for the gates and fixture, works exactly the same for mounting your gate or fixture as face fix.

However there are a few things to look out for when doing face fix.

How much to take your door over?

The TrelliGuard gate takes up as little as 20% of your opening. That should be a good indication as to how much you need to take your gate over for stacking purposes.

Is the lock accessible from both outside and inside?

If you have taken your gate over too much on the lock side it can cause an issue, in that from the inside of the house you can access the lock to unlock your gate. However, if it is over too, much how are you going to unlock your gate from the outside?

The best way to do this is taking your stacking side over by 20%, but to keep your lock side as close to the edge of the wall as possible to ensure a hassle-free entry and exit.
